We believe that good design can make lives better.
Back in the 70s Dieter Rams developed Braun’s memorable design language and defined 10 principles of good design that are still relevant today. While these principles have been a part of our DNA from the start, we’re always looking to the future.
Good Design is environmentally friendly.
We aim to use as little resources as possible and work on increasing the usage of materials in our products that are either recycled, recyclable, or both.
Moving forward, we are working on having at least 30%* of recycled plastic over the total plastic used in newly developed/upcoming products as of 2027 according to our commitment regarding material recycling.
Moreover, we have already saved more than 100 tons of paper through the partial digitalisation of our user instruction manuals for products globally sold in 2022. Also, there was no EPS (Synthesized Expanded Polystyrene) in the packaging of 53% of the Braun products sold in 2022.
*Excluded plastic for food contact application.
Good Design is honest.
Good design is honest. We will never make promises about our environmental impact that we can't keep.
Good Design is useful.
Which is why all of ours help you get the most use out of the things you have, like turning wrinkly fruit and veg into delicious meals.
With 100 quality tests, we leave no stone unturned.
Because we believe that good design is long-lasting, we test our products with 100 quality tests to make sure they live up to that – in quality and durability.
Starting at drop-, reliability- as well as performance tests all the way to single functionalities – our quality tests ensure that Braun products provide a real benefit to your household.
Or how another design principle would claim: Good design is thorough to the last detail.
Within Braun’s dedicated labs, the hand blenders lifetime is rigorously tested to be long lasting.
Enduring.
Braun tests its attachment's locking connection EasyClick System to the motor unit up to 3.000 times.
Dishwasher safe.
The premium Braun dishwasher-safe attachments are engineered to survive 200 cycles in a continuous dishwasher program to guarantee function and visual appearance over the product's lifetime.
Processing of hard ingredients.
Braun's 500ml chopper is tested to chop/grate up to 500 kg of Parmesan.

In use for 50 years.
Your food processor has been put to good use in my home for the last 50 years. I have nothing but praise for your company and would recommend you to others.

In use for over 60 years.
55 years ago, I received three Braun appliances as gifts when my daughter was born: a mixer, a juicer and a fruit press. I have been using all three appliances almost every day since 1960. So I would like to say thanks for the great quality and all the years of use without any repairs.

In use for 12.375 hours.
In 1998, we bought a Braun Combimax 700 food processor. My wife likes to cook as a hobby, so it was used almost every day. And not just once or twice, but sometimes for more than 2 or 3 hours – with breaks of course! After about 10 years, we asked ourselves how much longer it could last. So in 2008 we bought a new food processor – a Braun Combimax 700 too, of course – in order to be prepared for when the original stopped working. But it kept working perfectly. Then, on September 25th 2014 (!!!), it finally gave up the ghost after 16 and a half years! Overall calculation: 198 months x 25 days.
