Ingredients

Servings: 4
Makes:

2.0  cucumber
1.0  red onion, peeled
1.0 tbsp. sea salt
2.0 tbsp. sugar
3.0 tbsp. white wine vinegar
1.0 handful of dill, chopped
1.0 juice of lemon
 to taste ground black pepper

Instructions

STEP 1/5

To get evenly sliced cucumbers and onions extremely quickly for the salad, use the MQ 70 food processor accessory with its slicing insert and attach Braun’s MQ 7 Hand blender. Easily press the cucumber and onion through the filling tube and slice the ingredients on medium speed into even slices. Place into a colander and toss in the sea salt. Leave for 1 hour to allow the cucumber and onion to marinate and drain off excess water.

STEP 2/5

Transfer the sliced and salted ingredients to a bowl, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, until completely chilled.

STEP 3/5

For the dressing, place the white wine vinegar, sugar and lemon juice into Braun’s 600 ml beaker and attach the MQ 7 Hand blender to the MQ 10 whisk accessory. Whisk well to combine at a low speed. Season with salt and a generous pinch of freshly ground black pepper.

STEP 4/5

To chop the fresh dill, attach the MQ 7 Hand blender to the MQ 20 chopper accessory with one simple click. Add dill and pulse a few times.

STEP 5/5

Finally, add the dill, cucumbers and red onion into a bowl and dress the salad with the white wine vinegar and lemon dressing.

This recipe was prepared using Braun’s MQ 7 Hand blender with its MQ 70 (1.5 l) food processor accessory and its slicing insert, the MQ 10 whisk accessory and the MQ 20 (350 ml) chopper accessory, like for example in the set: MQ 785 Patisserie Plus.
This recipe can be also prepared using MQ 785 Gourmet.
