This recipe was prepared using Braun’s MultiQuick 5 Hand Blender with its blending shaft and beaker attachment.


  • 1½-inch by 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 2 stalks of scallions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice2 tsp brown sugar


  1. Place ginger, scallions and garlic in the beaker attachment of Braun’s MultiQuick 5 Hand Blender. Using the blending shaft, puree the ingredients until fine.
  2. Add the sesame oil, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice and brown sugar, and blend until smooth. Use the marinade right away or store it in a covered container in the refrigerator for later use. Marinate your favorite seafood, chicken or meat before grilling.


(Note: 1/3 cup for 1 lb. of shrimp – refrig time: 1 hour; 1/3 cup for 1 lb. chicken breasts – refrig time: 6 hours or overnight.)
