Grilled lamb cutlets with mashed potatoes

Ingredients

12  lamb cutlets
1 kg potatoes, peeled and quartered
20 ml milk
20 ml cream
20 grams butter
1  egg yolk
  salt
  pepper
  sugar
  nutmeg


Instructions

STEP 1/7

Pre-heat the oven to 200°C.

STEP 2/7

Peel the potatoes, cut them into quarters and place them into a saucepan with salted water. Cook for 20 minutes.

STEP 3/7

Drain off the water. Mash the potatoes with Braun’s hand blender, using the MQ 50 purée accessory at low speed.

STEP 4/7

Add the butter, heated milk, one egg yolk and cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste and add a hint of grated nutmeg.

STEP 5/7

Stir in the additional ingredients until smooth and creamy.

STEP 6/7

Sprinkle salt and pepper onto the lamb cutlets and grill on both sides until crispy on the outside and tender and pink on the inside.

STEP 7/7

Serve with the delicious mashed potatoes and enjoy.


This recipe doesn’t strictly have to include lamb cutlets, the dish could be made with roast lamb, giving you a new flavour combination to savour.
