Grilled cheese

Try making this classic comfort food in just a few minutes in the air fryer, it gives the bread a perfectly crispy, golden-brown exterior whilst keeping the cheese evenly melted inside.

8 slices white bread

100 grams unsalted butter, room temperature

350 grams cheddar cheese, grated

Butter 4 slices of bread on one side. Add a generous amount of grated cheese to the buttered side of the bread.

Top with the other 4 slices of bread, press down to sandwich together, then butter the outside of the sandwiches also.

Place the grill inside the drawer, select the GRILL function, MANUAL, 220°C, set 5 minutes and press the START button. The preheating phase will begin.

Once preheating is complete, transfer two of the sandwiches onto the grill inside the drawer and press the START button, cook for approximately 5 minutes until golden brown on the outside and the cheese inside has melted.

 

(Optional: Turn the sandwiches halfway through the cooking time to get grill lines on both sides)

Transfer the toasted sandwiches to a cutting board and cut in half diagonally. Repeat the cooking process for the remaining sandwiches.
