Ingredients

Servings: 4
Makes:
For the ice cream balls
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
80 grams corn flakes
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp. sugar
1  egg, medium
30 ml milk

For the apples
2  apples
½ tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp. sugar

To serve
20  slivered almonds, toasted


Instructions

STEP 1/15

For the ice cream balls
Line a plate or baking tray with baking paper.

STEP 2/15

Form 4 balls from the ice cream, place on the prepared tray and place in the freezer for approx. 2 hours.

STEP 3/15

Crush the cornflakes in the MultiQuick 5 Pro Chopper.

STEP 4/15

In a bowl, mix the cornflake crumbs with the cinnamon and sugar.

STEP 5/15

Roll the ice cream balls one by one in the cornflake mixture until they are coated all over.

STEP 6/15

Place the coated ice cream balls back in the freezer for 1 hour.

STEP 7/15

Whisk the eggs and milk together in a bowl.

STEP 8/15

Roll the ice cream balls one by one in the egg mixture and then in the remaining crushed cornflakes until they are coated all over again.

STEP 9/15

For the baked apples
Wash, halve and core the apples.

STEP 10/15

Mix the cinnamon and sugar.

STEP 11/15

Place the apples cut side up in the basket of the TwinCook 5 and sprinkle with the sugar mixture.

STEP 12/15

Cook the sugared apples using the Veggie program at 200° C for 15 minutes.

STEP 13/15

Place the baking paper in the basket of the TwinCook 5, place the ice cream balls on top and bake on the Veggie program at 210 °C for 2 minutes until crispy.

STEP 14/15

As soon as the temperature and time have been set, the SYNC button appears. Press the SYNC button, then press the Start button.

STEP 15/15

To serve
Arrange the baked apples on plates, place the breaded ice cream balls on top and serve with toasted almond slivers.
