Remove the charcoal water filter holder including the charcoal water filter and the gold tone permanent filter Add 100 ml (3.2 oz) of descaling solution to a full carafe of water. Pour the water and cleaner into the water reservoir of the machine and place the empty carafe in its position. Press the CLEAN button. The green LED light above the button will start flashing. Press BREW to start the descaling program, while the green LED light is still flashing. Once the descaling process has started, it is not possible to stop the program until finished. When the descaling program has been completed, the green LED light will turn off. Discard the cleaning solution and rinse the carafe thoroughly with clean water. Fill the water reservoir with a full carafe of clean, fresh water. Run the coffee maker through two complete brew cycles to flush the unit after descaling. Remove the charcoal water filter holder from the coffee maker by lifting it out of the water reservoir Gently press down the stem and pull toward you. Compartment will flip open. Place the charcoal water filter in the water filter holder and close it; you will hear a snap indicating it is in place. Hold the filter under cold running tap water for 10 seconds to flush. You should place the hole openings directly under the water stream. Allow the filter to drain completely. Position the green indicator to the month you installed the charcoal water filter. We recommend changing the charcoal water filter every 2 months, more often if you have hard tap water. Replace the charcoal water filter holder in the water reservoir of the coffee maker, pushing it all the way down to the base of the unit, along the reservoir wall. The perfect Cold Brew drink start with using the proper amount of coffee based on the drink size. If you find a watery tasting coffee, we recommend preparing it in a carafe without ice, placing it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes and serving it later with ice. You should stir the coffee before serving to blend the flavors. The coffee at the bottom of the carafe will be somewhat stronger than the coffee at the top.

Do I need to descaling my unit if I use Reverse Osmosis Filtered Water?

Yes, you still need to regularly descale your unit. If you use water filtered with a reverse osmosis system, we recommend testing the hardness of your water and adjusting the "Water hardness setting" on your coffee machine accordingly. You can find detailed instructions on how to set the water hardness level in your product instruction manual.

Once you switch the lever to "drip stop" the keep warm plate will turn off, you must reactivate the keep warm plate by pressing the keep warm button.

Why does my Braun drip coffee maker turn off after 2 hours, even though I set the auto-off function for 4 hours?

When the Auto-off is set but not activated, the unit will stop automatically after the default of 2 hours.  To avoid that and ensure the unit turns off after the desired time, activate the Auto-off function by pressing the Auto-off button; the Auto-OFF LED will light up.

What does the error code ’H2O’ mean on my MultiServe &#40;KF9250, KF9270, KF9370&#41;?

The error code "H20" can occur in two different situations: During First Use: Remove all packaging material and stickers from the appliance. Switch on the appliance. Set &ldquo;time of day&rdquo; and &ldquo;altitude&rdquo; (see explanation in dedicated paragraphs hereafter). During the setting process the information displayed will be saved after 10 seconds. Run the coffee maker through a complete brew cycle without ground coffee. Use a full carafe (10 cups) of fresh cold water. This will remove any dust from the manufacturing process or residues that have remained in the unit. If the message remains, repeat the above steps and then try to replace the water reservoir and turn the unit OFF and ON to reset the sensor and clear the message.  While Brewing: Ensure the water reservoir is full or has enough water for the selected drink size. If the message remains, replace the water tank and turn the unit off and on to reset the sensor and clear the message. If this does not resolve, contact Braun Customer Service.

Unplug the appliance, wait for 5 minutes, plug in again and retry.
