Why is my toast too dark?

The brownness of the toast will be effected by the freshness and dryness of the bread.The older and dryer of the bread, the darker color of the toast. If you want to re-toast a toast immediately right after toasting, switch to a lower setting to avoid the toast becomes too dark.
