How does the Braun iron auto-off function work?

The Braun iron auto-off function is a safety feature and saves energy. It is automatically activated after 10 minutes if there has been no steam emission or the water tank is empty. Toturn theirononagain, the On/Offbutton hasto bepressedandit isnecessary to wait until the iron is heated up again. (The feature is not included in low-end models.)
