If your toaster is blowing a fuse check to make sure there are no particles lodged in the heating elements.If you can see something caught, unplug the toaster and ensure it cools down completely, remove and empty the crumb tray. Tip the toaster upside-down and gently shake to remove the caught object.Refit the crumb tray and plug in the toaster, it should now be ready to use again.

Yes, when choosing your toast color keep in mind different bread types will brown differently. Also keep in mind using your toaster for the first time in the morning versus the second batch the toast color will also be different.

The lever may refuse to lock into position if there is debris trapped inside thetoaster/carriage.  Please turn the toaster upside down and gentlytap/shake to remove any debris. Note: the lever will not stay down unless the unit is plugged in.

Do not use abrasives because they will scratch the metal and plastic surfaces. Even though your kettle comes with a filter, you still need to clean the inside (and the filter) regularly. Regular descaling of the flat element will improve the performance of your kettle.

How can I remove limescale deposits from around the lid of my kettle?

In order to remove limescale deposits from around the lid of your kettle we would recommend our descaler solution. You may need to soak a kitchen towel in the solution and leave on the marks if they have been left for a long time. Only use a nonabrasive cloth to remove, such as a microfibre cloth. To avoid a build-up, particularly in hard water areas, do this monthly after you have descaled your kettle.

How do I descale my kettle?

To prolong the life of your new kettle, descaling should be carried out on a regular basis. The frequency required will depend on your water hardness. If you have particularly hard water, we would recommend the kettle is descaled every month. For very soft water areas we would recommend that you descale your kettle every three months. Please ensure you follow the instructions carefully. Switch the kettle on, remembering to switch it off just before the boiling point. Leave the solution in the kettle for a while, dependant on the severity of the scale inside and then empty the kettle. Refill with fresh water, boil, empty and repeat this process once more. Your kettle can now be used.

My kettle has what looks like a rust deposit forming inside the kettle?

This is more than likely due to limescale build up. Limescale in some parts of the country can manifest itself as a brown deposit. Descaling your kettle should remove the brown deposit. To reduce limescale build up use filtered water.

My kettle is leaking – what can I do?

Check the kettle has not been overfilled, as it will spill water when boiling if this happens. Also, check the kettle has not been dipped into water slightly when you were filling it, as this is quite common when a kitchen sink is used. Dry the base completely and place it back onto the base. If no further water is noted, this is likely to be the case. To avoid leaks, ensure your kettle is descaled every 1 to 3 months.

How can I decalcify the iron?

In order to clean the steam chamber decalcify the steam iron following the user instructions. 1. Fill the water tank to the maximum with tap water 2. Set the steam iron to maximum temperature setting and stand upright. Wait until it has reached maximum temperature. 3. Unplug the steam iron from the power outlet. Caution: Hot water and steam will come out from the sole plate when the steam regulator is turned clockwise beyond setting. 4. Hold the steam iron in horizontal position over a sink. Turn the steam regulator clockwise above maximum to ""anti calc"". The button will release the complete capacity of water from the tank and will rinse the water through the heating block of the iron. Scale and other residues will be released out of the soleplate. 5. Please repeat the procedure up to 3 times if necessary 6. Place the released steam regulator in citrus acid or clear vinegar. Remove any scale deposits and residues from the steam regulator with tap water. Put it back in its position. After cleaning re&#64257;ll the tank with water, heat up the iron and press the precision shot button 4 times to rinse the iron before ironing. Do not use commercial descalers - they may damage the iron.

Braun steam irons have a special coating inside the heating block that makes the outstanding steam performance possible, avoiding water leaking out of the soleplate during ironing. If water does come out the soleplate, please check the temperature setting as it may be set too low. In that case, either increase temperature or reduce the steam rate.
