Instructions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 190 C°.

Step 2

Line a large baking sheet with baking paper.

Step 3

If using cottage cheese: fit the knife blade to the food processor bowl of PowerBlend 7 Kitchen system, add the cottage cheese, select speed 4 for 20-30 seconds.


Tip: Skip this step if you’re using yoghurt.

Step 4

Remove the knife blade and fit the dough tool into the food processor.

Step 5

Add the flour, baking powder and salt, secure the lid.

Step 6

Select pulse in 7 short bursts, followed by speed 1 for 10 seconds.

Step 7

Transfer the dough to a generously floured work surface.

Step 8

With floured hands roll the dough into a ball, then divide into 4 equal pieces.

Step 9

Roll each ball into a 15 cm (6-7 inch) rope, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) thick, join the ends to make a circle and pinch tightly to seal, then transfer the bagels to the lined tray.

Step 10

Brush them with a beaten egg and top with your choice of mixed seeds.

Step 11

Bake for 25 minutes.

Step 12

Allow to cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
