In a medium mixing bowl, beat the butter with the brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, continue to beat for a few minutes.

In a separate mixing bowl, sieve together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Mix the dry ingredients into the butter and sugar mixture. Alternate additions with the milk.

Mix in the dark chocolate chips.

Fill the ramekins with the dough and put them inside the drawer (7-8 at a time).

Select the OVEN function, CAKE, 160°C, set 20 minutes and press START button.

Repeat with the remaining muffins.

Set aside to cool.

 

Dust with icing sugar if desired.
