Step 1

Wash the apples, quarter them and remove the seeds. Slice the apples with the Braun’s MultiQuick 5 Vario Food Processor using the fine slicing insert.

Step 2

Peel the shallots and chop them finely with Braun’s MultiQuick 5 Vario 500 ml chopper attachment. The 500 ml chopper attachment can be substituted with the food processor attachment.

Step 3

Heat oil in small pot and sauté the shallots for about 2-3 minutes until translucent.

Step 4

Peel the ginger with a spoon and chop it finely in Braun’s MultiQuick 5 Vario 500 ml chopper attachment

Step 5

Add apple slices, sugar, vinegar and ginger to the shallots and cook for about 30-40 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Fill the chutney into small jars to give as a gift.
