  • What are the blades on my handblender made of?

    The blades on the handblender and chopper attachment are made of stainless steel.

  • For what kind of foods is the shaft suitable?

    The handblender is excellent for preparing dips, sauces, soups, mayonnaise and baby food. It is also suitable for mixing drinks and milkshakes.

  • How can I clean stained plastic parts of my handblender ?

    Some kind of food (e.g. carots) can lead to discoloration of the plastic. To remove these stains, try wiping them clean with vegetable oil before washing them.

  • Can I chop hard or frozen food with the chopping attachment?

    We do not recommend chopping hard or frozen food, such as coffee beans, ice or nutmeg, with the chopper.

  • What is the best way to puree solid ingredients?

    Feed small portions into the jug gradually rather than adding large quantities at one time.

  • What is the chopper attachment for?

    The chopper can be used to chop, shred or mince a wide variety of vegetables, meats nuts, or herbs.

  • How can I continuously operate my handblender?

    All Braun handblenders are designed to be used for a maximum of 1 minute. Operating the handblender for more than 1 minute may result in the motor overheating. The unit should be allowed to rest for 3 minutes before continuing.

  • Can I crush ice with my jug blender?

    Yes, the ice crushing blade is sturdy enough to crush ice. With the motor switched off, place cubes of ice in the jar, replace the lid and switch the unit on.

  • Can I process all types of food in the HC chopper?

    The HC chopper is especially suitable for meat, cheese, onions, herbs, garlic, chilis (with water), carrots, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds and prunes. Please note that it is recommended to make use of the highest speed level when processing hard ingredients - e.g. parmesan cheese. It is not recommended to process very hard goods in the HC chopper. Ingredients like: Ice cubes, nutmeg, coffee-beans or grains are not suitable for this chopper.

  • Is the whisk dishwasher safe?

    Yes, you can put the whisk in the dishwasher. Please note that only the whisk can go in the dishwasher. It has to be separated from the gear box (plastic part of whisk) which should only be cleaned with a damp cloth.

  • When do I need the whisk?

    You should only use the whisk for whipping cream, beating egg whites and mixing sponges and ready mix desserts.
