This recipe was prepared using Braun's MultiQuick 9 Hand blender and its food processor and beaker attachments.

  • 1 medium head of cauliflower (about 2 pounds with stem, 5 ½ cups when in rice form)
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ½ ounces parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp original breadcrumbs
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Optional topping ideas:

  • Tomato sauce and mozzarella
  • Chopped fresh tomatoes, garlic and basil
  • Pesto fresh mozzarella and sliced tomatoes

  1. Preheat oven to 425ºF. Line 12-inch round pizza pan with parchment paper.
  2. Remove stem from cauliflower and cut into florets. Add ½ of the cauliflower florets to food processor bowl. Using Braun MQ9 Hand blender with food processor attachment and chopping blade, pulse cauliflower until it forms a rice consistency.
  3. Remove and place in large pot. Repeat with other ½ of cauliflower and add to large pot.
  4. Fill pot with water until cauliflower is covered. Bring to a boil, covered. Once boiling, let  cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Strain cauliflower in colander and let cool, about 15 minutes. Once cool to touch, transfer cauliflower to cheese cloth or clean dish towel. Squeeze excess liquid. (You want the cauliflower to be as dry as possible.)
  6. Meanwhile, in large bowl mix mozzarella, parmesan, breadcrumbs, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  7. Using Braun MQ9 Hand blender with blending shaft and beaker attachment, blend egg and garlic. Add cauliflower and egg to cheese mixture. Combine well with your hands.
  8. Transfer to prepared pizza pan and evenly flatten with your hands to cover surface.
  9. Place in oven and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
