This recipe was prepared using the Braun MultiQuick 5 Hand blender with whisk attachment.
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 ½ tbsp. gluten-free cornstarch
- Pinch of salt
- 2 cups 2% milk
- 2 large egg yolks
- ½ vanilla bean
- Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in a medium sauce pan. While using the Braun MultiQuick 5 Hand blender with whisk, slowly blend in milk on the lowest speed until smooth. Then whisk in egg yolks. Cut the vanilla bean in half and add it to the milk.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring often with a wooden spoon, until the pudding begins to thicken and boils, about 5- 6 minutes. Lower the heat and cook for about 3-5 more minutes stirring constantly until pudding is thicker. Remove from the heat, pour into a clean bowl and serve warm or chilled.
