Magic Meatballs

Ingredients

450 g lean minced Beef

50 g Rolled Oats

 1 small Onion, finely chopped

1 Egg, beaten

50 g grated Cheese

1 tsp Italian Herbs (non-irradiated)

 

Variations: one can combine with moist vegetables e.g. grated carrots, courgettes

1 Zucchini grated

1 Carrot grated

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Place egg into blender beaker and using the whisk attachment, beat the egg using speed <<1>> to operate.
  3. Place mince in the Braun chopper bowl.
  4. Operate for 10 seconds using speed <<2>>.
  5. Remove minced meat into separate bowl.
  6. Peel and pre-cut onion into rough chunks.
  7. Place pre-cut onion in the Braun chopper bowl.
  8. Operate for 10 seconds using speed <<2>> or until finely chopped.
  9. Then add rolled oats, beaten egg, grated cheese and parsley in the Braun chopper bowl.
  10. Operate 20 seconds using speed <<2>> and resume chopping until all is well blended.
  11. Add mince back into Braun chopper bowl containing the other ingredients.
  12. Operate 20 seconds using speed <<2>> and resume chopping until all is well blended.
  13. Shape the mixture into small balls (2.5cm in diameter). To assist the shaping, dip your hands in cold water from time to time.
  14. Place on a lightly greased baking tray and cook uncovered until light brown, for about 20 minutes.  Turn after 10 minutes to ensure even browning.
