  • What are the blades on my hand blender made of?

    The blades on the hand blender and chopper attachment are made of stainless steel.

  • What types of foods can you prepare?

    The hand blender is excellent for preparing dips, sauces, soups, mayonnaise and baby food. It is also suitable for mixing smoothies, drinks and milkshakes.

  • How can I clean the stained plastic parts of my hand blender?

    Some types of food (e.g. carrots, sweet potatoes, etc) can lead to discoloration of the plastic. To remove these stains, try wiping them clean with vegetable oil before washing them.

  • Can I chop hard or frozen food with the chopping attachment?

    We do not recommend chopping hard or frozen food, such as coffee beans, ice or nutmeg, with the chopper.

  • What is the best way to puree solid ingredients in my blender?

    Feed small portions into the blender carafe gradually rather than adding large quantities at one time.

  • What is the hand blender chopper attachment for?

    The chopper attachment can be used to chop, shred or mince a wide variety of vegetables, meats, nuts or herbs.

  • How long can I continuously operate my hand blender?

    All Braun hand blenders are designed to be used for a maximum of 1 minute. Operating the hand blender for more than 1 minute may result in the motor overheating. The unit should be allowed to rest for 3 minutes before continuing.

  • Can I crush ice in my blender?

    Yes, the blade was designed to crush ice. With the motor switched off, place cubes of ice in the jar, replace the lid and switch the unit on.

  • What types of foods can I place in the chopper attachment?

    The chopper is especially suitable for meat, cheese, onions, herbs, garlic, carrots, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds and fruits. Please note that it is recommended to make use of the highest speed level when processing harder ingredients - e.g. parmesan cheese. It is not recommended to process very hard goods in the chopper such as ice cubes, nutmeg, coffee-beans or grains.

  • Is the whisk attachment dishwasher safe?

    Yes, you can put the whisk in the dishwasher. Please note that only the whisk can go in the dishwasher. It has to be separated from the gear box (plastic part of whisk) which should only be cleaned with a damp cloth.

  • When should I use the whisk attachment?

    You should only use the whisk for whipping cream, beating egg whites and mixing lightweight cake batters and dessert mixes.
